Representatives from the Interagency Working Group on Facilities and Infrastructure (IWG-FI) will be participating in the upcoming International Research Ship Operators (IRSO) 2014 meeting from September 9-12, 2014 in Nantes, France. The NOPP Office received several proposals in response to the FY14 Request For Proposals (RFP) titled “Marine Arctic Ecosystem Study (MARES)—Ecosystem Dynamics and Monitoring of the Beaufort Sea: An Integrated Science Approach.” In August, the NOPP Office coordinated a scientific review panel of the proposals. The panelists for the review had backgrounds in ecology, physical science, modeling, marine mammals, and traditional/cultural knowledge.
