NOPP Program Update: May 2017

During the month of May, the NOPP office was privileged to support:

  1. NOPP Committee meeting where members continued to refine language of the Broad Agency Announcement (BAA).

  2. Review panel for a NOPP BAA project.
  3. National Marine Sanctuaries as Sentinel Sites for a Demonstration Marine Biodiversity Observation Network (MBON)  All-Hands Meeting. Members from each of the U.S. Marine Biodiversity Observation sites presented updates and discussed ways

     to create a larger national marine biodiversity observation network. During this meeting, the Sanctuaries MBON team was presented with the Excellence in Partnering Award to recognize the successful efforts as ocean research partners in conducting a superior project.

 

The NOPP Office attended:

  1. FROEWG meeting where members presented the progress of the nation’s energy technology and strategies and the further advancement of the National Ocean Policy.
