Next Generation of Advanced Laser Fluorescence Technology for Characterization of Natural Aquatic Environments

Improvement of Advanced Laser Fluorescence (ALF) for laboratory and field work is proposed. ALF with a fiber optic probe for in situ measurements is to be developed. This device, ALFIS, is to be put on a solar powered surface autonomous vehicle (OASIS SAV) and a solar powered autonomous underwater vehicle (SAUVII) for improved characterization of aquatic environments. These will be put into operational use under this project.
